World Day of Prayer

Friday, March 1 at 2:00pm

Leaside Presbyterian Church, 670 Eglinton Ave East, is happy to host the 2024 World Day of Prayer service. Please join us as we enjoy the service prepared by Palestinian Christian women. The theme is “I Beg You… Bear With One Another in Love” with text taken from Ephesians 4:1-3. Refreshments to follow. Service available by Zoom. Please contact the church office for info.

Teen Council Present: Leaside Teen Art Exhibit

Join us for an evening of art, food and drinks as the Leaside teen community showcases their finest creative work. The event is hosted by the Leaside Teen Council, who have worked to bring together this special exhibit for their community, family and friends. All are welcome! Wednesday, March 13, 5:00pm-7:00pm.

WonderPhil Magic Show

WonderPhil’s show has been a 5-star hit for audiences across the GTA for over a decade, from birthday parties to theatres, and now at TPL’s Leaside Branch. The show is jam-packed with amazing magic, huge laughs, and tons of audience interaction. This is the magical recipe for fun, from start to finish! Scientists in School presents: Do it like Da Vinci!

Da Vinci was an accomplished artist and skilled architect, and you can be, too. Paint to explore solubility, absorption, and surface tension. Become an inventor by taking our structure building challenge, and create a catapult. Discover the joy of combining science and art! Drop-in with limited spots. Children Ages 4-12. 3D Buttons with Clay

Get creative making clay buttons! Design unique buttons with colourful air-dry clay. Have fun creating your clay masterpiece, add it to the button-pins, and take your art wherever you go. Drop-in with limited spots. Children Ages 4-12. Monday, March 11, 2:00pm – 3:30pm.

Making Comics with Kean Soo!

Learn how to write and draw comics/graphic novels with the award-winning creator of Jellaby and March Grand Prix! Kean will lead you through the foundations of creating fun, compelling characters, plot outlines, and pulling it all together by laying out and drawing your own comic! Register in person or by calling 416-396-3835. Leaside Curling Club

Please join the celebrations on Saturday March 2.  We will be opening our doors to our community from 9:30 am – 11:00 am.

Learn more about the programs we offer.  Enjoy some refreshments.  We’ll have a face painter here to adorn your cheek with a curling rock. You can even get out on the ice and learn how to deliver a curling stone! 

We encourage you to pre-register if you wish to try your hand at throwing a curling rock.

Note: minimum age to be on the ice is 7 years.  Children aged 7 – 11 must wear protective head gear (we do not provide helmets; you will need to bring your own).

You need to wear warm stretchy clothing and bring a clean pair of running shoes to wear out on the ice.
