A sunrise gathering was held at Leaside United Church on September 30th in recognition of the first National Truth & Reconciliation Day. 

Our local MP, Rob Oliphant led the assembled group in a period of personal reflection. The group also planted “Every Child Matters” signs on the church property and tied orange ribbons around the trees on the lawn.—Michele Petick
