Born during the Spanish flu in 1918, James Henderson is now recovering from COVID-19 in hospital. He is quite probably the only still living employee of Research Enterprises Limited, which operated in Leaside during World War II. Leaside Life covered the celebration of his 100th birthday in the February 2019 issue. The family home on Parklea, which he bought in 1945, sold last year, and James no longer lives in Leaside, but continues to think of himself as a Leasider. Can anyone beat 104? Let us know at .
