Hidden Bayview

One of the charming aspects of our Bayview shopping strip is the old-fashioned feel it has…the mom and pop stores and small, unique shops that have, in many cases, been there for a long time. If you look closely you can see architectural elements of bygone days…specifically in the Art Deco store fronts, polished steel, black ceramic tiles (remember the old TTC platforms?), and curved walls. Also as renovations occur, you can often see the remnants of a former store’s signage that evokes our history. We hope that these cool, retro features don’t disappear forever! Here are some neat examples.
