LCBO on Bayview

Latest addition to Bayview will be a new LCBO store where the old Blockbuster was, just south of Millwood. Scheduled to open sometime this month, it will have about 2,500 square feet. An LCBO spokesperson said the location was chosen “to provide convenience to customers in this pedestrian friendly neighbourhood.” The LCBO store at Smart-Centre now under construction is expected to be open in June.

More pool repair

Repairs to the pool at Leaside Gardens will take longer than expected. Workers found deterioration in the concrete ceiling when replacing corroding wires holding suspended ceiling tiles. Blame humidity and chlorine-eating bacteria in the water. Look to mid-June for a swim.
