Home Depot Leaside helps Ophthalmology team at Michael Garron Hospital
I am an ophthalmologist on staff at Michael Garron Hospital. Today I was looking for material to make shields for our department to wear. My cousin Gary Opolsky sourced them out at Home Depot on Laird Ave. We met the operations manager Cheryl Papagerogiou who donated the items that I had asked for. Because as ophthalmologist’s we come very close to people’s faces, we need special protective eye wear. She supplied us with enough protective wear that each member of our department could have their own, and in addition we had enough to have to use in both the operating room and laser room.
Our ophthalmology department can’t thank her enough.
I thought I would let you know, as in times like this we really are a community.
