Calling all (would-be) writers!

Do you have a story to tell? Interested in what’s going on in Leaside? Want to give voice to what’s important to you in your community?

Then we want to hear from you.

Leaside Life’s mantra has always been “local, local, local.” There may not be eight million stories in the naked city (as an old TV series from the 50s and 60s asserted), but there certainly are thousands (tens of thousands?) right here in Leaside.

Leaside Life depends on readers, like you, to bring these stories to our attention.

Leaside is changing. As new developments spring up – especially on Laird, Bayview, Brentcliffe and elsewhere in the neighbourhood – thousands more people are moving into the area. In fact, Leaside may very well be one of the fastest growing communities in the country. Inevitably, the face of the community is changing, too.

We want to hold up a mirror to these changes. That means attracting more writers (and observers), from different sections of Leaside, diverse cultures, Leasiders living in single family homes, mid-rises and high rises, with unique perspectives on life in Leaside.

Is that you? Let us know by writing to us at with your ideas. The best stories come from our engaged readers.
