The Leaside champs just keep on coming!

The Leaside Flames Atom AA team, coached by Leasiders Chris Martin, Marcus Rudy, Peter O’Connell, and Ian MacMillan, defeated the York Toros to capture the GTHL City Championship.

The Leaside Flames Atom AA team, coached by Leasiders Chris Martin, Marcus Rudy, Peter O’Connell, and Ian MacMillan, defeated the York Toros to capture the GTHL City Championship. The road to the championship saw this hard working group of boys and girls play 24 games in the span of 50 days to be crowned the best team in the city. They will now advance to the Ontario Championships in North Bay.

Congratulations also go out to the mighty 2002 A Minor Midget Leaside Flames team who also won the GTHL City Championships. As reported in the March issue of Leaside Life, this powerhouse team, led by coach Dave Rumer, continued their winning ways by blasting through the playoffs with an incredible record of 12 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie. This team ended their 2017/18 GTHL regular and playoff season with a record of 46 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. Well done!
