Councillor John Parker says RioCan is looking at the possibility of changing its development at Eglinton and Laird, where the Canada Tire store is now.
That will depend on the results of a 2013-2014 city review of the Official Plan, which will consider the effect of the Eglinton LRT.
The construction of the LRT has already brought forward a proposal by Diamond Corporation for a huge office-condo development at Eglinton and Brentcliffe.
Parker said the province and city have a common view for Eglinton of mid-range development of four- to six-storey buildings.
