Revised plans for old post office change little

Knightstone Capital Management has sent revised plans to the city for redevelopment of the old post office at 2 Laird.

Steve Forrester, senior planner, says, “Generally, the revised submission proposes a seven-storey, 78-unit (previously 98-unit) building with 94 parking spaces (two surface, 92 below grade). The gross floor area has been reduced from 7,975 square metres to 7,375 square metres resulting in a density of 3.43 FSI (previously 3.71 FSI).

Neighbours previously expressed concern about height, density, traffic and potential lack of sunlight for residents on Krawchuk Lane.

Two petitions have been started.

As of our deadline 181 people had signed the one at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/2-laird-drive/
